Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies is a management institute in Mumbai. Over the years of its existence the institute has managed to make a name for itself. DSIMS offers postgraduate programs which 2 years long for the full-time program. The institute offers Masters in Management Studies or MMS for short in affiliation with the University of Mumbai. The program is available for students in four different specializations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Operations.
The Durgadevi Saraf Institute also offers a PGDM program which is the flagship program DSIMS. The program has been approved by AICTE and the Government of Maharashtra, Department of Technical Education. The PGDM program is also available in the same four specialisations as MMS, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Operations. There are also part-time master programs and short term courses on their catalogue. These programs are specially designed for working professionals who are pressed for time during the normal workweek.

Hostel: The institute has built up hostel facilities for both genders. The women hostel is situated in the main campus building on the top floors. Rooms available are ac and non-ac both on a sharing basis. All the rooms are furnished with the basic furniture. The rooms also have an attached bathroom. Women staying in the hostel get access to a recreational area and a dining area. There is constant 24×7 security for the safety of the residents.
The boy’s hostel is at situated quite near to the RSET campus. The hostel can accommodate up to 152 boys. The hostel is open to boys who are looking for quality accommodation while they are studying. There is Wi-Fi facility in both the hostels for the convenience of the students to help complete their assignments.
Knowledge Resource Centre: The Knowledge Resource Center (KRC) at Durgadevi Saraf Institute is one of the best and well-stocked management libraries in the city. The institute is constantly adding new books making sure to update the existing collection. There are over 60 journals in multiple different disciplines of management and in allied sciences. There are also text databases that have been updated in digital format for the student’s convenience. The KRC remains open on all days of the week including Sunday.
Computer labs: The campus has built up hi-tech computer labs on the campus. The labs have been fitted with more than 100 computers. There is also high-speed internet that students can use. The labs come in particular use for assignments and projects for studies.
Clubs:The DSIMShas student clubs for students to participate in and improve their knowledge. The Economics Club, which has been named Arthashastra after the group of young Kautilayas. The club aims to shape and help the future economists of the country. The club has built a platform where information is disseminated connects it to different schools of thought and enables the students to form their own views and thoughts about the various economic topics. There are seminars, symposiums, debates and also discussions held regularly in the club.
Classrooms: The classrooms at Durgadevi Saraf Institutehas been built with state-of-the-art technology. There are spacious seating arrangements in the classrooms with LCD screens for presentations. There is a Wi-Fi facility in the classrooms to help in the classes. There is also a smart board that can be used for multimedia purposes.
Seminar halls and auditorium: Besides the classrooms, theDSIMScampus building also has seminar halls, an auditorium and the Durgadevi Saraf Hall. The halls are used regularly for guest lectures and industry talks where experts from different field are invited for talks.
