Use a plug-in tail
You can mount a pogo pin by using one with a plug-in tail. It is by fixing the tail into the mounting hole on the printed circuit board (PCB). This mounting method is common with most of the bigger components of the PCB.
The plug-in tail provides support to the pin and increases its stability.
Use a housing case
Another way of mounting a pogo pin is by using a case with stands to hold the whole connector securely on the board with the pressure pressing the pins to the gold pads. Alternatively, you can mount the pins on the gold pad with a solder paste, but this time they will be secured by the case.
This method is generally stable enough for most of the applications.
Plug-in tail with a house
In this method, you combine a housing case and pins with a plug-in tail. It makes a very secure way of mounting a connector and provides stability.
This method is highly recommendable because it is durable.
Using a cable
You can mount a pogo pin using a cable on the PCB. With this, you create a small solder cap at the back of the pin where you will attach the cable. Some manufacturers can supply connectors with pre-assembled cables or single pins.

Alternatively, you can use standard or non-standard connectors on whichever side of the cable, for example, a USB connector.
With a double-ended pin, you can directly press-fit the pin into the housing device or mount it in a plastic housing that is then attached to the device.
Pogo pins are heat resistant up to a certain point, and sometimes the spring material will be unable to withstand. The best way is to seek or consult an expert who knows the best material and the right pins.
